I will stamp all over 'serious combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive paydays.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
